Do you like the idea of using the law of attraction to attract the things you want into your life but just can’t seem to make it work the way you want it too? Below I’m going to share a couple of really important law of attraction tips to help you avoid what I call law of attraction overwhelm or law of attraction scatter brain.

- The law of attraction responds to your vibrations Positive or Negative
- The law of attraction responds to your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, the things you say, the things you do
- You get what you focus on the most wanted or not wanted
- Thoughts become things (this is a Mike Dooley special)
The three step law of attraction process is simple
This is the three step law of attraction process I teach in my Law of Attraction for Life Course
- Clarity ~ Get clear about what you like and want.
- Raise your vibrations ~ Feel positive
- Allow ~ Get out of the way (shift limiting beliefs, emotions…) so that the law of attraction can give you what you want.
It’s all very straight forward. Yes it takes effort and yes it takes your time.
What is law of attraction overwhelm?
Just like in everyday life, when we’ve got too much going on in our lives we get overwhelmed and things either don’t get done at all or maybe not as well as you’d like and you eventually burn yourself out and feel rubbish.
The same thing happens with law of attraction.
If you’re trying to attract a million things into your life at once (okay this is a little extreme but you get the idea) your focus is dashing about like a Tasmanian devil after a sugar fix.
You get a law of attraction scatter brain where your focus is just dashing about randomly confusing even the law of attraction. It’s almost like it just goes “Okay, she’s (or he’s) all over the place, let’s just leave her until she sorts it all out”

Anyway back to law of attraction overwhelm
Let’s say you want to attract the following:
- A new car
- A new home
- A new man
- More money
- Better behaved kids
- An easier life
- Holidays
- A better body
- That red dress you saw out shopping the other day
- Your boss to appreciate you
- …
Your focus is going to be split between those things and most likely lots of distractions are going to be slipping there way in as well.
Think about when you’re online.
Do you ever do this? You start on a project, have 10 tabs open and flit between them, check out Facebook, oh, that’s an email, back to Facebook… That project takes much longer to complete because of all the distractions and pulls on your focus.
It’s the same for most people with the law of attraction.
Here are my top tips for law of attraction simplicity.
- Spend some time thinking about your ideal life and write it down ~ Once it’s written down, you’re already subconsciously working on attracting that into your life.
- Decide who you want to be ~ What kind of person you want to be. Live consciously.
- Notice what shows up in your life that you like and acknowledge it. “Yes, I like this, I want more of this kind of thing.”
- Notice what shows up that you don’t like/want, acknowledge it and then ask yourself “If I don’t want this, what do I want?”
- Now pick one thing to focus on and really focus on it. Live, breathe, eat and sleep it.
This way your focus is… well… FOCUSED and you’ve still set the wheels in motion for the other stuff you want, it’s running away in the background and you’re paying attention to the things that show up and letting the Universe know what you like and what you don’t like.
So these are my top tips for simplifying the law of attraction.

HI Wendy, you say the law of attraction works all of the time, can you turn it off? Can you activate it when you need or do you have to be fully aware at all times?
Hi Sarah, great question. There is no on/off switch with the law of attraction it is always working. It’s a universal law just the same as gravity. It’s always working whether we understand it or not. You don’t need to be obsessive about it. If life’s pretty good, you’re already doing well. Just keep paying attention to what you like and what you want. And make the shift when things show up that you don’t want.
