Do you ever feel like everything seems to be going wrong in your business?
I definitely felt like this a few weeks ago. My computer wasn’t working properly, I was getting stressed out because I couldn’t record video’s, my page views were dropping and I’m sure at the time I thought there were other big problems. Obviously not that big as I now can’t remember them.
You know what? For most of us, these times happen. As a law of attraction practitioner, I can normally pick up on them and swap them around quite quickly but they still crop up.
So here are my top tips to deal with those times when you feel like everything seems to be going wrong in your business.
5 tips to shift to positive when everything seems to be going wrong in your business
Step one: Do a reality check
When we have a couple or more things going wrong, even if they’re quite small things, we can quickly focus in on them and then a whole negative cycle begins. You start finding more and more problems, attracting more and more problems.
So, as soon as you spot that you’ve got this NEGATIVE PROBLEM CYCLE going on, SLAM the brakes on and do a reality check.
Take a deep breath in and out – Breathe in positive energy and breathe out negative energy.
Repeat a few times, nice and slow.
Now, write down the problem clearly and exactly with NO drama.
Example of drama: My computers not working, I can’t work, I can’t make any money, I’ll have to buy a new computer, I hate this stupid computer….
A clear and exact problem: The computer is stuck on the opening screen so that I can’t access it to work.
Can you see how different the situation is now? No Drama, just fact.
Step two: Shift your focus
Remember that negativity cycle I mentioned. Now, what I want you to do is start off a positivity cycle.
Take the next 10 minutes to write down everything you can think of that’s working in your business. Set the timer and start writing. Don’t worry about it making sense or punctuation etc, just shift your focus to positive.
If you get stuck thinking of positive things in your business, write down positive things in your life as well. It all helps. Just keep on writing for 10 minutes.
Step three: Focus on what you want
Now, going back to the problem with a clear and positive focus – Read your clear and exact statement that you wrote down in step one.
Now state what you want.
In the example of the computer. My train of thought went something like this.
I want my computer to work, I want to be able to get on with my work, I want a computer that works.
The last statement was the key. I want a computer that works.
All I did was shift from wanting my computer to work, to having a computer that works.
There we go, I had my solution – My son has a perfectly good laptop that he hardly uses. He was home when I had this breakthrough, so I asked him if I could borrow his. He was more than happy to let me use it and then I organised for mine to be repaired. The service I received was fantastic and quick.
POSITIVE OUTCOME
What’s your positive outcome for your clear and exact problem?
Step four: Reframe the problem
Another way to shift your focus is to reframe the situation. We’re basically going to swap the negative picture for a positive picture.
Let’s use the example of my page views dropping.
Initially, I was really disappointed as I’d been so pleased when they’d gone up to 50,000 in December, only to drop to around the 30,000 mark.
I found myself constantly checking my views and every time I’d get more disappointed.
When I reframed this picture, this is how it looked.
Wasn’t it great to get that really big boost to my page views in December? I’m still at a really good level and this year, I’m investing in Elite Blog Academy so that I can really take my blog up to the next level and I’m really excited about that.
I can feel the shift in energy just writing that out.
Always look for ways to reframe things that aren’t going the way you want and put your own positive twist on them.
Step five: Deal with the situation with a positive mindset
So, you’ve got rid of all the drama talk, the negativity cycle and you’ve got yourself a positive mindset. You may well find that the problem just isn’t there or isn’t anything you need to give more attention to.
In the case of the computer not working I needed to get it repaired. Positive action.
With my recording video’s problem. I bought a new phone that I can record on and I absolutely love it.
Deal with your problem now with a clear and positive mindset.
Let’s do a quick recap
