Disaster to calm with Ho’oponopono

Okay, I may be being dramatic, it wasn’t a real disaster but hey, it was big deal for me.  So here’s the story.

My son’s computer had a problem and as we pay for a service plan, we were able to take it to the store to be fixed.

We had to leave it for a week, much to my son’s horror 🙂

Anyway, when we arrived to collect the computer, the power lead was missing.  The assistant informed me that the computer had been sent away and they had not returned the lead.  He was going to call them and ask them to send it back to store.
Ho'opononopono, the forgiveness prayer. Using Ho'oponopono in real lifeMy instant reaction was one of annoyance! Sorry for any of you who think I am perfect.  I’m so not!

I expressed my annoyance to the assistance, stating that it was inconvenient for me to return to the store as it had taken me almost an hour to get there and in the run up to Christmas and a busy time in my business, I was so not impressed with having to return to the store, sit in the traffic another day (Hey, my daily commute to work is walk down the stairs) because someone else had been stupid enough to send the computer back without the power lead.  How is that helpful?

So the assistant went off to call the workshop and I had all of this ranting going on inside my head and we know that leads to more things to rant about don’t we.  So I knew I needed to make a positive shift and super quick.

So I stated In my head, out to the Universe.  “I want an easy solution to this situation.”

I then began what I personally call the forgiveness prayer also known as Ho’oponopono. Ho’oponopono means to make it right.  You can read more about Ho’oponopono on TheAncientHuna.com

This is how it goes…

I’m Sorry

Please forgive me

Thank you

I love you

I repeated this prayer over and over in my head, I focused on calming my breathing and just kept running this over and over.  I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you, Love you.  I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you, I love you…

By the time the assistant returned, I was calm and positive.

He apologized for the delay and I smiled and said “It’s fine” I was actually pleased of the time to refocus and make that positive shift.

The outcome was that the power lead was going to be posted directly to my home instead of being delivered back to the store.  Result.

Keep calm and try Ho'oponopono. I'm sorry, please forgive me, thank you, i love you. I like to think of this as the forgiveness prayer. It's helped me turn negative situations around so many times. Click through to read my story

Okay, so you may think well this would probably have happened anyway.  But here’s the thing, maybe it wouldn’t.  Who knows really?

What I do know is that the solution was positive for me and more importantly I was calm and positive.

Had I have let the negative emotions continue I would have wound myself up and felt dreadful and I would probably have been rude to the assistant, which I don’t want to do.  The energy surrounding the whole situation would have been negative which is more likely to attract a negative outcome.

So my reason for sharing this story today is to encourage you whenever you notice negativity in your life, in your business, make that shift to positive.  I personally find the forgiveness prayer -Ho’oponopono incredibly powerful.  It’s easy to remember and I just find it an easy way to let go and make that positive shift.

Focus on the positives, let go of negatives and enjoy creating a life and business you love.
