So hopefully you’ve got your goals written down by now and you’ve created a plan of action.

But it’s all well and good having your goals and a plan. But let me ask you this question.
Who do you need to be to achieve your goals this year?
For example:
Do you need to be someone who is confident?
Do you need to be someone who takes action consistently?
Do you need to be someone who asks for help when you need it?
Do you need to someone who says “NO” more often? Or someone who says “Yes” more often?
Do you need to be someone who sets clear boundaries?
I want you to look at what you want to achieve this year and ask that question.
Who do I need to be to achieve my goals this year?
Write your answers down and keep them in your goals book.
Turn them into affirmations
Now turn all of the things you’ve come up with into affirmations
Let’s say you need to work on being more confident in meetings.
You can make your affirmation I am confident in meetings
or With every meeting I attend my confidence grows.
If you need to be someone who completed projects on time, your affirmation could be I complete all of my projects on time or even I always complete my projects in plenty of time.
Creating these affirmations will support you in becoming the person you need to be.
You can also keep asking yourself What can I do today to be more… (add whatever you want to be)
TIP: Be 100% honest with yourself. Asking yourself these kinds of questions be the difference between achieving your goals this year and not.
