It’s so important that you know you’ve got something to go to, or you might find that you’re left stuck in the mud for a while. It’s a common mistake that so many people make after a string of bad weeks at a company. They get angry at the way they’re being treated, and impulse hand in their notice, only to be left jobless and in a whole new world of trouble. So, have a think about something you can really make a career out of, such as marketing. There’s so much money in it, so many big companies advertising roles, and so much progression to be had in it. You could search for things such as seo jobs, and tons would come up. You might feel like you don’t have a clue what you’re doing, or you might be underqualified, but there are tons of companies out there who are willing to train the right person up. This applies with any role that you might be interested in, you just have to show the initial interest!

Settle Your Finances

You definitely need to settle your finances before you leave, because there are some big things that could go wrong if you’re not careful. For example, you could walk into the office and hand your notice in, and they could tell you they don’t want you to work your notice, and you’ll have to leave that day. That means all money stops, and it can cause some serious problems for you, especially if your new job isn’t ready to have you for the standard four weeks notice period. Make sure you have savings, and make sure that you have a backup plan!
