5 Self-Esteem affirmations With Images

5 of my favourite self-esteem affirmations.  If you want to improve your self-esteem, I hope you love them and find them super helpful.

I absolutely love affirmations.  They’re a super simple way to shift your focus to what you want.

Mike Dooley from The Secret famously says “Thoughts Become Things.”

Affirmations are simply positive statements that we say to ourselves.  You affirm something is true for you.

Help the affirmations work for you

Sometimes people tell me that affirmations don’t work for them.  So, I have a few tips to help you get the affirmations working for you.

  • Make them believable for you – I’ve tested this idea a lot over the years and have found that the best way is to go for something positive that is maybe a bit of a stretch for you but still believable.  EXAMPLE: If you’re very overweight and you say an affirmation “I’m a size 10” – Your subconscious mind simply rejects this message.  If your affirmation is “I’m making positive and healthy choices for myself now” then this is acceptable for your subconscious mind and this affirmation will be more powerful for you.
  • A great time to focus on your key affirmations is first thing in the morning and the last thing at night to set yourself up for a super positive day.
  • Fill your day with this message for yourself.  Whenever you get a chance, fill your mind with the affirmations.
  • Enjoy the affirmations and stick with them.  You’re in the process of retraining yourself.  It will take time.

I hope you find these affirmations super helpful.

I Am Enough / I Am More Than Enough

Every now and then I still get this little voice in my head saying “Who do you think you are to do that?  You’re not enough/good enough/clever enough…

I know I’m not alone in this and I want you to know, right now – YOU ARE ENOUGH.  You are more than enough.

You might be thinking, how do you know that?  You don’t even know me.  I know that because we are all enough.  You might not know everything you need to know and that’s okay, nobody knows everything about everything, but you are enough.  We all are.

Every day I feel better and better about myself

Think of your affirmations as helping you with a process.  You’re starting right where you are.  That’s all anyone can do and you’re suggesting something better.  Feeding this into your mind on a daily basis, retraining your mind and gradually it will become true for you.

As you go about your day to day life, pay attention to this affirmation being true for you.  Notice when you feel positive about yourself.

I feel fantastic about myself

If it feels too much to say “I feel fantastic about myself” at this time, start off with “I’m willing to feel fantastic about myself” or “I’m learning to feel fantastic about myself.”

If you feel that you don’t deserve to feel fantastic about yourself, start off with “I am willing to believe I deserve to feel fantastic.”

I don’t know why it is but many of us seem to have been programmed (often unintentionally) that it’s wrong for us to think we deserve to feel fantastic about ourselves and our lives.  This is simply a negative belief that you can change.

I love and accept myself

Again this may be an affirmation that you will need to build up to.  It’s probably the one that has had the most impact on me and the one I encourage you to practice the most.

You may need to start off with “I am willing to love and accept myself” or “I am open to the idea of loving and accepting myself”

When you are able to love and accept yourself, you have the power to be exactly who you want to be and create the life you want for yourself.

It’s totally okay for me to be myself

I spent years trying to be someone else, fit in, trying to be the person that I thought I should be.  I’m here to tell you that it’s totally okay for you to be yourself.  That person.  That real you is awesome and when you start letting the real you shine through your life will get better and better and the right people for you will be attracted to you.

This is just a small collection of affirmations to improve your self-esteem.  You can create your own.  Just think about how you want to feel, who you want to be, the life you want and put together a positive, affirming statement of your own.

Low self-esteem feels rubbish and I spent a long time feeling that way myself.  Thankfully through my Life Coach training, I learned how to improve my own self-esteem and help others to do the same.  I also then went on to train as a law of attraction practitioner and EFT master practitioner.  This all means that I now have some pretty amazing tools to help you improve your self-esteem.

I created a wonderful download packed with tips, exercises and techniques to help boost your self-esteem now and for life.
