Daily habits for positive people

I feel that positive daily habits are essential to create a positive mindset for life.  Today I want to share a few things with you that I do to ensure a positive attitude and to help me to feel positive on a daily basis.

Daily habits for positive people

Create daily habits that make you day easier

When you set yourself up to have a day that runs as smoothly as possible, it’s so much easier for you to be positive.

  • Get a positive morning routine and stick to it.  A calm and organized start to the day will really set you up for a positive day.  Try to do the same things at the same time every day, especially if you need to be out of the house at a certain time.  Get up in plenty of time and allow a little buffer time.
  • Create an evening routine that prepares you for the following day.  For example, decide on the outfit for the following day, prepare or plan meals for the next day,  make sure you know where your keys are and have you bag ready for the next day if relevant to you.
  • Plan for the next day.  This way you can get straight on with the things you need to do and enjoy the free time you have in between.

Daily habits for a positive mindset

  • Start every day with positive thoughts – for example, what you are grateful for, what you are looking forward to.
  • Do the same last thing at night.  Always have positive thoughts running through your mind as you go to sleep.  Again, focus on gratitude, use affirmations, think about nice things you’re going to be doing the next day or that you’ve done that day, think about things you would like to attract into your life.
  • Look for positives.  Have you ever noticed that you can have a group of people who are all in the same place at the same time, experiencing the same event, yet many of those people will have a completely different view of what’s going on? Always, always try to look for the positives.
  • Have a gratitude mindset.  Gratitude, is in my opinion a super power emotion.  Go through your day with an attitude of gratitude.
  • Create an I can mindset.  Be the kind of person who takes a problem and asks “What can I do to make this happen/better/solve this….?

Make a decision to be a positive person

Okay, let me put my own cards on the table.  I’m not a sparkling ray of sunshine who is always positive, in fact, if you were to ask my family I can have a good rant from time to time, I can be moody and grumpy.

Some days I’m frustrated, angry, sad…

It is natural to experience negative emotions in life.

What I encourage you to do though is decide that as much as you can to be a positive person.  To commit to working on shifting from negative to positive as quickly as possible.

These are just a few ideas to help you be a more positive person.  Give them a try and please do share your own ideas for daily habits to help you be a more positive person.

  1. Once again helping me stay focus on ‘gratitude’. Thank you for a timely post for me.Gratitude is such a positive and powerful feeling to have.
I’m so far from perfect and have times I have to grab the bull by the horns so to speak and really spend time focusing on the positive and what I’m grateful for.
