If you’re a business owner, you may or may not have considered going green already. After all, this is a huge trend that appears to be sweeping all kinds of different people. It’s important to remember that you don’t have to be a completely green business to make a difference to the environment. It’s likely that your business can become greener by doing just a few simple things.
Cut Back On Paper Usage
How much paper do you use in a day? Cutting back on paper is one amazing way to become greener. However, you will need to be sure that every person in the business is on the same page for it to be as effective as possible. Make sure you’re only printing when absolutely necessary, and that you’re not using paper for pointless things. Try to use both sides of the paper, and you can even make sure you buy paper that has already been recycled to make a bigger impact.
Use Recyclable Packaging
If you have a product, making sure your packaging is eco-friendly is a must. Make sure it’s recyclable. If possible, you could even create new packaging from old packaging! Stores like Lush do this, and even have a scheme customers can use where they take back old pots for a free face mask. Maybe incorporating an incentive program like this could really help you.
Save Electricity
Let in that natural light. It’s better for your employees and will save you money. Turn things off when you leave the building. These small efforts all add up.
