Are youThis post forms part of my Time Management series – Time management tip 28

Okay, today’s post is a bit different.  It’s an assignment for all of you who are willing to participate to ‘GET IT DONE!’

So many of the people who come to me for coaching struggle to get things done and to be honest, I absolutely know what that feels like.  I used to be one of those people who always had a million great ideas, but very few things ever got completed.

So let’s get started.

First a little mind talk

Before we get started, I want you to take out your notebook or grab a sheet of paper and write this down:

I am someone who completes the things that are important to me

Notice the wording.  I didn’t say “I am someone who completes everything”  Not all things are equal and they should not hold equal importance to you.  Focus on doing those things that are important to you.

Be the kind of person who gets stuff done, the important stuff. Click through to take the 5-minute get it done assignment.

Choose 1 of your goals ~ Something that you can act on straight away.

Write your goal down and make it specific.

You may write down one of these…

  • Write and publish a blog post
  • Write a full chapter of my novel
  • Go for a walk
  • Do the ironing
  • Go for a bath

They’re your goals, choose 1 you can get to work on immediately.  Well in a few seconds.

15 minutes straight on your goal

When you finish reading this post, you’re going to take action immediately and for the following 15 minutes, you’re going to work on just 1 thing.  NO Distractions, NO Multi-tasking, NO EXCUSES!!!!

Before you start tweet me and tell me what you’re going to do in your 15 minutes.

The world will not fall to pieces in 15 minutes.  Take this time for you.

Set a timer for 15 minutes and let’s get it done!

Ready, get set…… GO!!!!

………..15 minutes later!!!

Now in the comments below tell me what you’ve achieved.

Thank you and WELL DONE!
