If you run an online business of any kind, then you’ll no doubt be looking to launch products and services at some point, and although we hear a lot mentioned about launching online it can be very confusing and overwhelming at times because there is so much contradictory information out there that people tell us is right and it leave us not really knowing who’s right or wrong, so in this post we’re going to share with you the simple process for launching any product or service within 30 days.

The thing with launching is it really doesn’t have to be complicated, but you do need to have a plan and roadmap to follow otherwise you’ll just be putting random stuff out there and hoping for the best.

If you’re really struggling to get your head around launching and feel like you need some support with it, then looking into some Mentoring or coaching from someone who’s been there and done it and who can hold you accountable is probably a good idea to keep you on track with your launch.

Pre-pre launch:

Many people think that the first step of launching begins with the pre-launch, but there’s a step before that which is known as pre-pre launching, and this is basically where you prepare to prepare your launch by doing things like mapping out your launch strategy, identifying what marketing channels you’ll be using and also where you start planting the seed so that when you go into pre-launch mode and start marketing, people will be ready for it.

During your pre-pre launch phase, you’re going to do things like get all your social media channels set up and prepared for your launch phases, you’re going to start building a list of people who could be potential buyers of your product and service, and the way you do this is through sharing value that encourages them to get on your list, such as freebies that they can download, engaging blog posts, and free webinars where you teach them something.

Pre-launch:

Now that you’ve done your preparation for the pre-launch, then it’s going to be a lot easier than if you had just started with this phase. This phase of your launch is where you’re going to be creating the hype and build up around your product or service, so for example, let’s say you’re offering a course that teaches small business owners how to write their own copy, then what you’d be looking to do here is share carefully created content and value around creating copy that directly lead into your course.

At this stage, youre only call to action is going to be getting people to sign up for your email list through, again things like webinars, etc. Preferably you’ll also be asking them to sign up for a waiting list and mentioning your course, but you’re not opening it for people to join at this point – you’re just building the anticipation for it.

Launch:

Now is the main phase of your launch and this should really last anywhere from a week to three weeks, but it can be as long or as short as you want it to be, and if you already have a highly engaged audience who trust you, then it can be a 48 hour launch if you want.

For your launch phase, although you’re going to keep sharing value as you have done in the previous two phases, the difference is now that you will choose a day for opening and closing your cart – which means the first day people can sign up for your offer and the last day, and when you’re sharing value during this phase, instead of asking them to join your list, your CTA (call to action) is going to be to ask them to buy your product or service.

There are many strategies and tactics you can use throughout the launch phase, such as bonuses, scarcity, etc, so what you use is really up to you, and all that matters is that you’re being genuine with it and not using sleazy tactics like false scarcity.

Post launch:

The post launch phase is just as important as the other phases, and whilst many people believe that once the cart closes, the launch is over, it’s actually just beginning, and this phase is what sets the stage for your future launches. This phase involves all the onboarding of your new customers and making sure they get what they paid for.
