Business productivity and focus are key to long-term business success? So, how do you currently do in this area?
When you don’t have business productivity and focus, you can easily end up burning yourself out.
My goal is to work smart – This means I get things done in my business every business day that really matter and in as little time as possible. I work effectively.
In the first couple of years in my business, I was working very long hours, was always busy and burnt more than a few meals because I was working at the same time as trying to make the meal. Was I successful doing that? NOPE. I was at the point of having to give up my business dream. The biggest reason was that I was busy but not productive and I was scattered in my activities. I was grabbing at anything and trying to make it work but there was no focus.
So today I want to share some tips to help you be for business productivity and focus.
Get super clear about what you actually want to achieve
If you haven’t already got it, download the free ideal business workbook. Once you are clear about what you want to achieve in your business and life, you will find it easier to stay focused.
So many people have an idea of what they should be doing and what success should look like but when they really take the time to think about this and really explore what success means to them personally, it’s often very different from the stereotypical success picture.
Knowing what success means to you personally is massive. It’s your starting point and your destination. The clarity gives you strong foundations to build on and it’s also where you’re heading.
Taking the time to get real clarity in your business is super powerful.
Set clear and measurable goals
Start off with your ideal business, create your ideal business goals then break them down to yearly, monthly, weekly and daily goals. Make your goals measurable so that you know when you’ve achieved each step of your goal – For example, one of your ideal business goals might be to be earning £10,000 per month from your business. Your yearly goal might be a financial goal of achieving a profit of £2,000 per month. Each month you will set goals which will help you achieve this goal. In the first month of the year, you may make a £1,000 profit. The next month, you will set goals to increase the profit and take action to make that happen. The next month you may increase your income to £1, 200 – You can measure your progress and you will clearly know when you’ve achieved this goal.
Power question – What can I do this month to achieve my goal of…?

Plan the next day
At the end of each business day, plan your next day, always prioritizing your goals. If you do something very early on in your business day that moves you closer to achieving your goals, you consistently move closer to your ideal business.
Before I started doing this, I would easily find myself halfway through the day and I hadn’t actually done anything important in my business. Planning your day means you can get straight to the things that will really make a difference in your business.
Clear blocks
Check out my Focus and Productivity EFT script – EFT is the best way I know to release negative energy, limiting beliefs… that block you from achieving success in your business. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of it, everything is explained and it’s easy for you to do by yourself.
Also, check out this post about hypnosis downloads for business success – I’m a huge fan of these downloads. I can pop one on at the end of the day, lie back and relax whilst the download works its magic. I’m working on my mindset without really needing to do anything other than relax.
