How to write amazing headlines every time

How are your blog post headlines?

If it’s amazing headlines you’re after keep reading.

Okay, so seriously it took me about 10 minutes to come up with this headline.  What do you think? Is it amazing?

Well according to Co-schedulers Headline analyser I get an A+ for this headline (at least for its word balance).  I think that may be the first time I’ve ever got an A+

I’m super impressed with this FREE tool I’ve found.

You need amazing headlines to grab readers attention!!!!

I read a lot of blogging tutorials (yes, I’m a little obsessed, but hey, no judging 🙂 please).  Almost all of the advice goes something like this…

If you want loads of blog readers, then you absolutely have to have amazing headlines.

I have to admit that whilst I generally find it quite easy to come up with new blog post ideas, I am not so creative when it comes to thinking up those WOW headlines that people talk about.

So when I came across this headline analyser I was a little bit like a kid in a candy shop.  I spent way, way to much time on it when I was supposed to be doing other things.  However, if all the hype is true about the need for amazing headlines then this will be time well spent.

By the way, I’m not affiliated with this company or getting paid from them in any way, I just think it’s a great FREE service and wanted to share it with you.

Getting my A+ Amazing headline

I have to tell you whilst I’m delighted with my A+ I’m actually still only on a score of 79 with my How to write amazing headline every time title.  That’s about the highest I’ve achieved so far whilst experimenting.

I started off with How to write better headlines for your blog posts got me a score of 72 (not bad and in the green zone)

Write amazing headlines that grab readers got me just 62 (in the yellow zone)

I pushed it up to 77 with How to write amazing headlines for every post.

There were quite a few other tries but so I can’t seem to find one over that 79 mark.

I’d love you to give me some suggestions to try and push the score up.

Update old headlines

I’ve been playing around with other blog posts over the past couple of days and have only managed to get up to the high 70’s – So I’m on a mission to get up even further.

Here’s one of the post headlines I updated.

I started with Organise your social media time without it draining your time.  Yes, I know it’s a bit of a mouthful.  Anyway, this headline had a score of 63, I’ve managed to up that score to 76 by changing it to What to do when social media drains your time.

So are you a headline whizz?  Have you got the knack of creating awesome, reader grabbing headlines that generate massive traffic?  Or are you like me and just pushing for better and better?

I hope you find this free service as helpful and fun as I have.  I’d really love you to share in the comments below some of your original headlines with the score and the new higher score headline you create.

Have fun.

Wendy
